Hello. Finishing up my years contract on the 15th of June. I intend to stay and work here, the life is good and I like teaching. But; I would like to travel to Japan until the end of the month. Will I need to start the whole immigration process again when I get back? Criminal background checks etc., even though I've not been back home?
The date on the front of my ARC says 2012.07.02
The date on the top of the back of my card say 2012.16.14 and 2013.07.14
and then 2012.06.28 below that.
Rather ashamedly after a year here I don't know what the Hangul beside them means.
Am I correct in assuming that I can't extend my ARC knowing that I'm not staying at that particular branch?
Any help would be appreciated! |

What about applying for the D-10 visa? It gives you a 6 months extension and allows you to search for a job and leave the country without having to send in new documents. |

So if I take on a D-10, I can return to an E2 without having to get new background checks? That would be handy. |
