I've been in Korea since November 2007.
I am Canadian on an E-2 visa and my Korean language level is beginner MAYBE intermediate level. My salary is 3.1 million won a month (this includes my housing allowance).
I'm starting the social integration course soon (to get more points) and I continue to work on my Korean.
I am 31 years old.
I have looked at some point charts and I think I should be ready for an F series visa of some type fairly soon.
With the info I provided:
Which F visa will I likely get?
Any suggestions on how to get an F visa ASAP??? (without marrying a Korean of course).
Not that I'm in a huge hurry, but sooner is better.
Thanks!!! |

By signning up for the 사회통합 program (Social Integration Course) you've pretty much done the best thing you can do to fast forward yourself.
It all depends on your test score in the level test. Getting placed in Level 2 as opposed to level 3 would mean an extra 100 hours of class time (the equivalent of 10 extra weeks of evening classes). The same 100 hour gap exists between all levels, except level 5 which is only a 50 hour course.
So by maximizing your points on the level test, you're doing the best thing you can to get the F visa as soon as possible. Good luck on the level test. |
