|
|
I have an F-4 visa and already submitted the CBC. I haven't left the country, but new employers are asking for it. SMOE said there was no law. It would just depend on the hagwon. If I change jobs in country, I can ask my current employer for a certified copy with their seal or stamp. But my employer has no idea what this is. Has anyone else changed jobs on an F-4 visa? Did you have to get a new CBC? |

As I understand it if you are staying within the same MOE then you don't have to resubmit your CBC. If your new employer requests proof (and they should) you can get a copy of the CBC that your MOE has on file.
If your new job is in another MOE jurisdiction then you will have to obtain a new CBC.
This is how the system is supposed to work to my knowledge. YMMV.

^^^ that is essentially correct but in ADDITION to that:
If a new employer (not a recruiter) wants a new CBC as a condition of employment then it is within their purview to ask for (ie: require) it.
The MOE/POE set the minimum standard.
An employer can certainly require more at their discretion.
Clarify their position - do they require a new one or just that you are registered with the MOE?
Then, if needed, your option would be to get it or find another new job.
