| Hi, I was considering buying a collectable sword but before I do I was wondering if anyone knew of any laws that prohibit that. The blade would be about 40 inches. |

| If you are a martial arts practicianer then you can get a permit to buy samurai swords. You have to keep it at place of practice, similar to guns kept at gun range. |
