Can anyone recommend a free, wi-fi zone in Seoul, particularly one that doesn't require a password? Department stores, shopping malls, coffee shops, etc.

Thanks.

The best places are cafes, you can just stand outside of them to use their wifi... or go inside. Nescafe, Starbucks, Holly Coffee, etc.

I've found a free wifi connection called something like SeoulWifi around Yongsan/Sinyongsan station, and Itaewon station... maybe it comes from the Namsan tower? Not sure.

Before I had a phone, I'd usually keep my wifi list open and resfreshing as I walked along the sidewalk. I always found something within every couple of blocks.

Guro Digital is virtuall Wifi-everywhere area.
SeoulWiFi, anygate, iptime and a few more less common are available almost on crosswalks even.

(I have iptime in my officetel, it's faster than my Olleh 100/100 LOL!)
