I am leaving the public school system to start focusing on privates and some PT jobs. I had the MOE send me a copy of my background check I had given them which they stamped/certified/etc. Will this be good enough for a PT job or do I need to send off my fingerprints again? TIA |

Should be fine unless you leave the country for 90 days or more.

That will work as you are not required to get a home CBC (at your cost) with the marriage visa or the F5 permanent. If the people wanting your CBC do not accept the copy from the MOE, then they should be willing to pay the cost of having another one made. I had a school try this on me, and once they found out they would have to pay, they willingly accepted the Korean version of the CBC with no problem. In fact the cost of all my backgrond checks have been borne by the immigration office since I was on the marriage visa. That rule is due to change this year, so paying for it in the future will begin to affect people probably after summer from what I have been reading here and on the government websites. |

Thanks for the quick replies. I haven't left the country so I should be in order there. I haven't needed a background check for my marriage visa (been married for almost 3 years) but things are always changing. |

I should add (since I forgot to earlier) that even though the MOE shouldn't require a new set it doesn't mean that a potential NEW employer can't ask for a new CBC as a condition of hiring you.
They do have that right and they aren't required to pay for it (either you do it or they move to the next applicant).
If a current employer asks for a new one then they should pay for it.
