What is your guys' experience with this? Single obviously provides more freedom, but I imagine shared has more space. Do you all prefer one over the other? Why?

And how many people typically share a space?

Thanks!

Don't ever get shared housing. Never.
Doesn't matter how big the place is you could get a totally classless slob. They could smell, be insane not clean up after themselves, bring unwanted female "guests" over, etc etc.

Agreed. ALWAYS opt for a single. ALWAYS. If they offer you a housing allowance in lieu of a school-provided unit, take that.

Not if the allowance is garbage or they don't provide key money.

Key money of at least 5 million is generally included in a housing allowance option, but, yes, you should definitely weigh out individual offers.
