Hello,

I have a copy of my degree certificate which was apostilled 18 months ago for my current job. I'd like to use this for my Korean visa application, as I don't want to go to the expense and difficulty of getting another copy made and apostilled in the UK.

I know the criminal check has to be dated within the last 6 months; but does anyone know if there is any such rule for apostilles?
I can't see any reason why there should be - I doubt the government has changed its mind on the legality of my qualifications - but as we all know, logic and Kimmi go together like kimchi and peanut butter...

Thanks!

You are well informed. It should not matter with your degree. Since it is static. Yet like as you mentioned immigration is not always logical or skewed logic. I can no find at the moment but I remember a few people having problems with immigration and people having dated transcripts or degrees. Everything was perfect just old. Officials might think 6 months for all documents.

Consider calling immigration and asking. Still in the end, it might be worth the effort to get a newer degree.

Good Luck
