I just got a job offer in Suji with a hagwon, does anyone know about this area? Is there a lot to do besides going into Seoul? Is it a safe area? Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Nestled conveniently between Suwon and Bundang and within easy reach of Seoul it is "high rise suburbia".

It is as safe as anywhere else in Korea.

Suji's a good place, an upper middle-class area conveniently located.

I've lived in Suji my entire time I've been here, 6 glorious years. I've recently been accepted into one of the local gangs, yes there are gangs in this town! It's been pretty good so far, we shakedown the new foreign teachers, rough up business owners who dont pay our protection fee. You know usual gang related activities.

It's been tough lately, my wife has been working a lot and she wants me home by 10pm to help around the apartment. Do you know how difficult it is to be an active part of a gang AND have to be home at 10pm to clean the house?!?!

Anyway I'm veering off topic, Suji is a beautiful place to live and there is a decent amount of stuff there to keep you busy for a solid 15 minutes. Otherwise I wouldnt have stayed for so long.

Can anyone tell me about live music in or around Suji? I know it is close to Suwon, Bundang, Seongnam and the like...how is it around those areas?

Suji? Isn't that where the murders happened with all those schoolgirls and hookers?
