|

I work at a public school.
I am looking for a new job and they of course want a reference check.
Should I provide my co-teacher's direct line at the school or the principals....what is usually the etiquette?
Thanks!!! |

I would assume it is whoever you and your co-teacher "report" on a daily basis. Do you have a head teacher type person?
Back home, I wouldn't have given my principal as a reference simply because he had little knowledge of my day-to-day work and habits - I would have used my Head of Department. |

The co-teachers cell phone as long as she will give you a decent reference. If not you might try the English supervisor for your district or your English Coordinator. Unless they specifically ask for the co-teacher, you should consider who is not going to be negative. Of course choose the co-teacher first if possible. |
