|
|
I just graduated with my masters in social work and have found that my dream of working for the Veterans Affairs her in the US (they want a lot of experience and licensed) probably isn't going to come to fruition in the near future.
I don't want to work in some lame entry level social service position in America. However, there are recruiters that recruit for the above mentioned countries for American social workers.
I love to travel and I think it'd be cool to work in my field and at the same time scratch that itch.
My question is do any of you from the above countries know anything about the field in your country?
I've been to Vancouver many times and loved it. However, the opportunities in Canada will be working at extremely remote outposts but the pay is outstanding.
I've never been to England although I haven't heard many good things about it...not to insult anybody...just what I've heard. The positive about England is there are opportunities in London - civility unlike Canada.
I haven't done any research on Australia yet so I don't know about work opportunities or locations.
I've heard great things about Australia. As a matter of fact my sister spent 1 year as an exchange student there in 1983 and is still in contact with her host family!
I know this is a long shot but any input I get is better than nothing. |
