Wondering if anybody has been to the Philippines during July/August? I've been there a few times but only during January and February and the weather was pretty good. I read that the summer is monsoon season and should get the heaviest rainfall however the seasons have become a bit messed up and this is now not always the case. Would be travelling all the way from the UK so don't want to spend the time and money if it's going to rain a lot. I come from a country where we get plenty of that already! |

Depends on where you are going.
Monsoon and typhoons in the north (Luzon).
Pleasant and mostly dry (might get showers in the late afternoon but they only last for an hour or so before the sun comes out to play again) in the central regions (Visayas) and down south.
At my farm in Bohol we tend to get more rain in Jan-April than any other time of year. Aug - Nov is usually pretty dry.
Unless you get up in the mountains up north (cooler) or hang around Manila (hotter) the temps will typically run 24-32 almost year round.
