Can anyone recommend a good online Tesol or Tefl program that will be helpful for finding work in Korea? |

I wouldn't recommend any online courses, get one with actual teaching experience. A CELTA would be the best. |

There are none.
If you want to work in a public school your TEFL course needs to be a minimum of 100 hours with 20 hours "in class". (60 hours in class for Busan).
For a hagwon job you don't need one. Save your money.

Just curious why someone with no teaching experience would not need a qualification for a hagwon job?
It doesn't say much for hagwons if they will take anyone who speaks English regardless of their ability to actually teach the language to others.
Also (this may be a stupid question), if one gets a year of experience teaching, and then applies for a public school position, does their teaching experience eliminate the need for a qualification with 'in class' hours? |

Because hagwons are a business and the product is contact time with the foreigner.
Teaching never has been a priority in most hagwons.
Best teaching practices don't exist in most hagwons.
Most real teachers crash and burn in hagwons because their focus is on students learning... not keeping parents happy.
Yes, if you have a year of classroom experience you usually don't need the "class time" with a TEFL course.
