I'm posting this for a friend:

"When does the pension increase occur? Is it the end of year 5 or the start of year 6? I've been at the same Uni for 6 years and this will be the 5th year on the KTPF scheme. It's the before and after thats confusing me. I want to finish at my place this year which will be bang on 5 years in the private pension. If it's going to cost me money I might just sign another contract."

its at the 5 year mark the money in private teachers fund increases, it doesn't have to be 5 years at the same school, just 5 years since you last cashed out changing jobs (which they don't allow anymore)

this spring i got the big jump after 3 years at my last school and now just finished the first semester of my 3rd year at my present school. It jumped in March for me.

Just go to the office on Yeouido with your arc and they will print out exactly how much you will get at x date, i checked for feb of this year, march of this year and next feb and got amounts

So at the end of year 5 or the start of year 6? Because he'd have to renew if it's the latter, and he was looking to move elsewhere, and may not if this is the case.
