Hello,

I've been here for over two years and this year was my first time going to the tax office. I went the third week in May. I think the government owes me some money. I'm curious when the government starts paying foreign teachers back?

IF you had a refund coming it should have been sent/deposited this past week assuming they had your bank info to send it to.

Otherwise it may have been sent through your employer (assuming they remitted your salary deductions and filed the taxes properly).

To add to that, it also depends on how often you used your debit card for purchases. If you withdrew cash a lot then you may end up having to pay money to the tax office instead of receiving a tax refund. I thought I was owed money until they slapped that on me in surprise.
