|
|
Currently in Korea on an E-2...aleary submitted medical check and
will (HOPEFULLY) transfer to a GEPIK job late AUg/early Sept.
Have always needed to submit a new medical when transfering (not necessarly new visa/new ARC) jobs before.
Don't want to submit a new medical because of the anxiety drugs (legal and prescribed of course) that I am taking.
1) Can I get out of doing a new medical?
2) Are they going to kick me out cus of taking the prescribed meds? (This is if I do have to do a new medical)
Thanks! |

You could stop taking them a few weeks before the medical and they wouldn't know about it. |

You could stop taking thedrugsfor alittle while, andthat might bethe easiest solution. But you could also get a letter from your doctor saying what drugs you are on and that they might give a false positive in tests, something that needs to be mentioned in the letter. Alsobring samples of the pills. It might just be easier not to take the medicine for a little while, in case the school is sensitive about you having anxiety. But I'm not an expert. |

Whatever you do, discuss your plans with your doctor. If you take anxiety medication following a prescribed scheduled dosage, it can be downright dangerous to simply stop doing so. Even if your dosage isn't a large one, "rubberbanding" into more severe anxiety from a sudden lack of medication is certainly a possibility. You can avoid (or at least lessen the severity of) these complications if you consult your doctor first. |
