Got a heck of a nice gift from a Korean prof. today

Wow... I will post pics later, but he has a collection of 5 uncirculated silver Eisenhower dollars in their presentation boxes dated 1971. They belonged to his father, and were still packed in a box straight from the mint.

I begged him to hold onto them but he won't take no for an answer. He is giving one to each American teaching at our university.

I am guessing they are the all-silver coins. May be worth 50,000 Won each, at least.

20-30 bucks each (22k - 33k won).

For me, it wouldn't really matter what they might be worth, unless we would be talking billions.....I'd be keeping them.

Worth keeping for their historical significance alone. Extremely nice gesture on his part. Sounds like a cool dude!
