I wanted to collect my National Pension after 6 years, but I've signed another contract that offers a private pension.
Does anyone know if I can show a one-way ticket to Japan and collect even though I'm still under contract since I'm not collecting national pension anymore? FYI- I'm on an F-6 visa.
The reason I ask is that I could really use the 20 million and would rather invest it on my own than let it sit until I'm out of here for good.
Thanks. |

The Pension Office checks with Immigration after a certain period (I can't remember the number of days) to see if you have, in fact, re-entered Korea. If you have, there will be no payout of your pension funds.
The people to ask regarding payout of national pension upon shifting to a private pension would be the National Pension folks. |
