I can't remember who I stole this idea off but it was really good drill activity. Today we did some work on musical instruments. I made up some cards. Some of them had the pictures or the musical instrument the other just the words. If a student had the picture they had to ask the question 'what musical instrument can you play' if they had the words then it was I can play the....
I then got the students to take a card and they had to go and find their partner. At first I made sure that all students had a partner but as we went on I would only have one or two pairs in the pack.
It was really good icebreaker this is a summer class made up of kids that don't know really know eachother so they were forced to go and find some other people to talk to apart from the few that they knew. I had ten in the class but will work with up to about 20 I would say. |
