Does anyone know when the new iPad mini 2 will be available in Korea? I heard October as a possible date but that's not definite. Any idea on prices for the 16G, 32G, and 64G?

Apple products tend to come later in Korea than the international release dates. I remember when the iPad 2 came out I brought one from the US and everyone on the train was eyeing me because it wasnt out in Korea yet. The guy at the apple store wpukdnt give it up when I brought it in to get help with it. Laughing

There will most likely be a waiting list for them, as there always is when something new comes out. I heard early fall, but the timing may be off by about two to four weeks.

I read somewhere that it is supposedly coming out in the US in September, and around October elsewhere, but who knows.

I figured that there would be a waiting list. How does one put their name down on the waiting list? Should I just go to the Apple store in Myeong-dong and try to put my name down there?

There's no US release date, though speculation puts it sometime after the new iPhone event, which is marked for September 10th. Last year, the mini started showing up in Korea a week or so after the U.S. release, which was October 22nd, 2012. I remember because I went to buy one when it was released but ended out with a regular iPad instead.

My guess is you'll see it sometime in late October, early November in Korea.
