I want to change mine to something that isn't a throw back to a late-1980's TV show, as popular as it may have been for its time. Wink

Permissible?

You're name was submitted for alteration but was deemed too awesome and the request was rejected. Dammit Dave!

Be as that may be...

When I eventually post up an avatar, I want to go with a name which reflects something that sounds a bit more "professional." Laughing

That's pretty much the reason why I want to change it. Cool

Under normal circumstances I would hope the mods would help you out, but your u/n is a good one so I don't think it should be allowed. Make it (not) so, as it were Wink

I would, but pride is leading me to hang onto my original registration date (It was on Christmas, after all! Very Happy ) and the few posts I notched up in almost a decade of lurking and eventual registration on here.

That seems to be some kind of badge of honor on here. "Oh, look at his join date, what a noob" and all that jazz. Most people probably don't care, but there are those types.

I'm with the cdin dude, it'd probably just be easier to apply for a new account than to get someone to agree to change your username on this site.
