I want to change mine to something that isn't a throw back to a late-1980's TV show, as popular as it may have been for its time.
Permissible? |

You're name was submitted for alteration but was deemed too awesome and the request was rejected. Dammit Dave! |

Be as that may be...
When I eventually post up an avatar, I want to go with a name which reflects something that sounds a bit more "professional." |

That's pretty much the reason why I want to change it. |

Under normal circumstances I would hope the mods would help you out, but your u/n is a good one so I don't think it should be allowed. Make it (not) so, as it were |

I would, but pride is leading me to hang onto my original registration date (It was on Christmas, after all! ) and the few posts I notched up in almost a decade of lurking and eventual registration on here. |

That seems to be some kind of badge of honor on here. "Oh, look at his join date, what a noob" and all that jazz. Most people probably don't care, but there are those types.
I'm with the cdin dude, it'd probably just be easier to apply for a new account than to get someone to agree to change your username on this site. |
