It has cooled things down significantly. The humidity was unbearable a week or two ago, now it's almost cool outside. Makes cycling in the evenings a pleasure. I live in the countryside and everything is green and lovely now. The hills and rice patties are green and glistening, and everything smells great after the rain.

I dread the return of the humidity. I likes the cool rain.

Everyone knows you're going to slip on your bike riding it in the rain then blame it on Korean people, so enough with this fake positivity act!

So was my response.

But I do like the countryside. Now, if I wanted to be cynical I'd probably say I like rural areas because there are fewer people here, which means less noise, less spitting, less trash, fewer insane drivers, etc. But I'm trying to emphasize the positive (the green hills, the rice patties, etc). I've even posted that I like visiting Jeju-do. I think the Korean countryside is very pleasant. The cities and towns, now that's a different matter altogether. It'll be some time yet before they get that one right. Confused

Welcome back kikomom, and hungrily waiting dragonflies and spiders will make a short work of them.
