So my new room has ridiculously thin walls. I have a tacit agreement with my only neighbor to be quiet, but it's a drag to have to sit in front of my PC/TV all the time just to hear the news, etc. |

I cant reccomend a specific headphone (although id go for bose or bang and oulfson if you want quality), but i know that kyobo usually has a pretty good selection of headphones in the electrical dept., probably better than anywhere else Ive seen. |

This is a coincidence because last night I was trying to find a good pair of wireless ear phones for the gym, but I got spooked by so many of the reviews mentioning how weak the signal could get if the phone was in a pocket or even on the opposite arm from the receiver.
I go through earphones like crazy because of (a) the cord always gives out at the point it connects to the player (too much wear and tear from moving around) and (b) I sweat like a maniac.
What to do? |

Too pricey for my blood. I spent that much on some AKG studio monitors a few years back just to get them crushed when the TSAs at O'Hare *threw* my carry-on bag onto the conveyor... also screwed up my laptop... |

Wireless headphones are overpriced and offer spotty performance. Side note-- avoid bluetooth as well. Just run a long wire along the sides of the wall to the back of your couch, if you can. |

I've been using a pair of Philips IR headphones at my Pc for a couple of years and they work great if you in line of sight of the transmitter.
They are Philips SHC2000 and cost about 40K at the time.
EDIT: I checked and they are not selling them any more IFAIK. They do have a bluetooth set (SHB4000) for about 70-80k. |

When playing PC games or consoles/movies, I use a pair of Turtle Beach PX5 or XP500. They plug into your TVs digital optical cable |

I have Sennheiser MM480, Bluetooth, and I cannot get the damn thing to work with my laptop. It pairs well with the tablet, at least. |
