My wife and I are hoping to travel a bit in Thailand before going to Korea to teach. Our paperwork is being processed, but we would like to spend as much time as possible in Thailand. We are wondering if we can get there before we get our visa issuance numbers, get our issuance numbers, and then get our visas somewhere in Bangkok while we are hanging out in Thailand.

Does anyone know if it is possible to have our visas issued in Thailand once we have our visa issuance numbers?

Thanks for the help!

Yes, AFAIK you should have no problems, I did exactly that in 2010 (which was the last time I was issued a new visa). The embassy is a little bit out of the way, but it's easy to find a map or information online. I believe they do a standard drop off one morning/pick it up the next afternoon kind of service.
