So I know this has come up a bunch of times on this forum but I would prefer some information that is recent (this year, 2013) and from people who have actually gone through this process.

Has anyone had their FBI CBC apostilled through their Secretary of State (I'm in California)? I spoke with my recruiter and he said the state level apostille should be fine for my background check but I have been reading so many different things that say that I need to go through the office in Washington D.C. to get my CBC apostilled.

Please do not reply if you, yourself have not gotten your CBC apostilled through the state level or if your information is older than last year. And please don't tell me to just send it to D.C. to be on the safe side.

Also, I want to know if this will be accepted by the MOE, not immigration because I already have my F-4 Visa.
