No one has asked me for one... but I haven't started anything new of late. |

There is typically no CBC for teaching adults UNLESS the institution requests it. Up until now the whole thing about CBC for ESL teaching had to do with working with young children, and the problems that created several years ago. However, the MOE has never made it a requirement to have such verification for adult students. That is what I know about it. |

If the academy is licensed to teach minors (as well as adults) then they are required by the MOE to get a CBC (and other documents) from the teacher and register all their teachers with the MOE.
They WILL accept copies of documents on file with immigration provided they are made by immigration.

Thanks Tompatz. Will immigration make those copies? Do they have them scanned into their system so that they can print them off? |

Yes, they will make them. There is a 300 won per page charge for printing them off.

I think you will find ALL adult hagwons request CRB checks.
Why? Kids or no kids, any self-respecting business would not want the negative publicity associated with hiring a jimmy saville or gary glitter. |
