Hello everyone!
I just arrived last week and got a teaching job at an elementary school in Chungnam. I currently line in Asan, literally right across from the train station. I was just wondering if there is anyone else in the are or Cheonan because I really don't know anyone here, and some of this is becoming daunting. If anyone would like to chat or something, that would be awesome. Could really use a friend in the area, or anywhere in this country for that matter! haha |

Come into my parlor said the spider to the fly....
A better question is if anybody can point you towards some expat hangouts or local facebook groups.
Sorry I do not know any. But if you have the train station close by, then the all of Korea is your oyster.
_doug is a bit right, careful with Dave's it can be a soul chrushing experience for the weak and simple. |

Haha advice noted. I just found out today that I will have an orientation towards the end of August with a lot of other English speakers, so I'm pretty sure I'll be good. I can hold out longer. Definitely not weak. Doubt I'll get my Seoul crushed (See what I did there? My terrible pun for the day). My school and everyone there are really great! They help a lot. Sometimes I feel bad because they do almost too much for me, but I will somehow repay them. Time to immerse... |
