Was anyone able to satisfy the financial capability requirement for the f6 visa by proving that they themselves (the foreigner) had sufficient funds? Or does the Korean person have to prove that they can support their foreign spouse?
My fiance and I are both gainfully employed but he's the one with all the savings in the bank. I'm just wondering if we need to transfer it to my name for the purposes of the visa application. It seems reasonable that as long as ONE of us can prove we have the money it shouldn't matter, but a lot of the accounts I've read online say that immigration only cares about how much money the Korean spouse has. |

Didn't prove anything and weren't asked during the interview/handing over of the documents.
I think some of it is the luck of the draw with the officer you get. |

| Generally you prove it by showing a housing contract or 30million in the bank. The money only has to be in the bank long enough to get a letter from the bank stating you have it. Some people have gotten away with work contracts, some have gotten away with nothing, some have had the person insist 30 million in the bank (even if they had a house worth 50 million) and nothing but. |

Argh, typical frustrating immigration bureaucracy bs. Anyway, thanks for the replies. |
