|
|
I have 3 pairs of pants that need to be hemmed. I live in Suwon and recently took them to a place in my neighborhood. I had my co-worker write a note and even tried to explain what I wanted as best I could.
I was hoping they'd let me try them on, so they could measure, but there was no place to do that. They seemed pretty sure of themselves, so I went for it. Unfortunately, they're now longer than before. Thankfully, it was super cheap, so I'm fine with having them done elsewhere.
I'm thinking I'd be better off going somewhere in Seoul. Can anyone recommend a place in Itaewon or near Gangnam station where they'll let me try them on to measure them and see exactly what needs to be done?
Thanks! |

Any cleaners will do it.
What you do is adjust the pants yourself before you go, and put safety pins in place. Then, they will hem the pants to where you put the pins (prob wanna use 2 pins per leg). |

Yeah, I definitely thought about doing that and going back to the original place, but there's something nice about putting them on and having a professional take care of it for you.
If I don't get any suggestions on where to go in Seoul, I'll certainly consider it. I have next week off, so lots of time to play around with safety pins to get the right length; not that I don't have plenty of time during my work week... let's face it... I'm just lazy. |

How is it possible the pants came out longer than before? I'm just curious. Did they add material? |

I assume they let the hem down instead of taking it up... |

Roll them up to where you want them & take them to any laundry shop. Point. "Cut?" "Yeh." Come back the next day & its done, cheap & simple. |

There is a really good laundry shop/cleaners in the Hannam-dong neighborhood that I myself go to. There is a father and a son. The son's English is not too shabby. They've done great work with my own clothes.
It's on Hannam-daero 27 gil. Just off of Hannam-daero (Boulevard) north of the Hannam Ogari. Don't have much more info. Good luck! |
