What is Suwon like? This will be my first stint overseas and I was hoping to live in a city with a lot to do. Is there a nightlife? Good restaurants? Are these ridiculous questions? Help! |

The night life is pretty amazing especially when the shuttles are launched every Friday night as part of the Korean Space Program's English Program. For only 3000 won you get to go on board. |

If you like to partake in nightlife weekly (hiphop / top40) do not come to Suwon. There is only one club and it plays techno. Leaving one to have to travel out of town, which is annoying and can be expensive. |

If Bansong-dong is where I'm thinking of, I lived there. Its really great. There are restaurants from all over the world in the mall they have there. Buses take you to Gangnam, Seoul from virtually right in front of your apartment, there is a good community called Dongtan Clan on facebook. They can help you the best. There is also a very nice world class park right by your place. They have things like a fountain show accompanied with music every evening, and a nice little nature trail. What is the school you are teaching at? |
