NYCGal? Really? She's always so angry all the time. Won't be long until she's banning posters because she can't keep from making things personal.

She knows the rules and she knows what to do and what no to do. I've talked with all the mods about this beforehand.

I signed up, but what's the niche? What will it do that this forum and Waygook don't do? There could be a place for a site with minimal limits on what you can say since the big two both seem to aim to be family friendly. I like a forum where people are free to tell other posters to FO once in a while. If people are free to be forthright there seems to be less snideyness

The forum appears to be a place with very laidback moderation. However with NYCgal as a mod thats a huge red flag. Shes always attacking anyone that doesnt agree with her every word, shes also a huge feminist, which I dont have a problem with, but can see her banning the first person that offends her in a forum thats supposed to be more laidback. Shes way too sensitive and takes things too personal. No thanks. Ttompatz would make a great mod though.

I am the only one who can ban people, actually. Mods can put people into a time-out zone and submit requests to have bannings, but only if they have reason. Mods who abuse their powers or let things get personal would be removed. I hold a tight leash on them all.

Congrats on getting the site up and running! I like the fact that you've made it transparent who the mods are. ttompatz, as most would agree, is certainly an excellent choice. I will say this, mod choices might affect who decides to participate. A couple of people have already voiced concern about that. Just saying.
