Hi,

Does anyone have any ideas for decent gifts for the girlfriend and her family?

I already did maple syrup so that's out.

Thanks.

An engagement ring would be appreciated the most.

That's what I thought about getting for the dad since he's a Korean ajeoshi after all.

Ice wine seems to be hit or miss (much like it is in Canada: some people like it. I, and others, think it's nasty)

They might appreciate a fancy little Inukshuk (sp?), totem pole kinda thing, or dream catcher. A print from the Group of 7 could go over well too if they're into art. (I guess all those items would only suit that type.)

If the dad is a drinker, get him some Crown Royal. Show up with some fresh fruit, and the two of you can go nuts!

I might go for the following:

- Whiskey for the dad.
- Maple cookies and a dreamcatcher for the mom.
