Hello!

I am new to the SK forums but not to TEFLing and I was wondering if after so many years working and having a school sponsor you and your visa, can a TEFLer apply for citizenship or does SK have a permanent resident card?

I ask because I am wondering how one can stay in SK long term and not have to rely on a school to keep sponsoring you every year.

Aside from the obvious (and most common) route of marrying a Korean citizen to stay in country, you can also apply for an F5 visa for permanent residency provided you meet the requirements. The link below gives a basic overview of the different criteria that must be met in order to apply for an F5:
