Pension seminar due Aug. 31 for foreigners By John Redmond
The Itaewon Global Village Center will host a national pension service orientation at Hannam Building in Itaewon on Aug. 31.
At this session, participants will be able to learn about how the system works, the types of benefits offered and how they are calculated, and how to get a refund when they leave Korea.
This will be a great opportunity to learn about services that are out there for foreigners living and working in this city. All residents aged 18-59 are asked to apply for the national pension whether it is compulsorily-covered or voluntarily-covered.
Whether you’re an employee or a spouse or reaching 60, if you want to know more, you will be able to get some useful tips and learn more about what this service really means. The session will consist of an informative presentation, a Q&A session, and a chance to mingle with other guests at the end.
The session begins at 10:30 a.m. and is free of charge.
RSVP is recommended. Email [email protected] or call (02)2199-8884 so that Itaewon Global Village Center will know how many people to expect.
The address is Itaewon Global Village Center, Room 504 Hannam Building, 211 Itaewon-ro, Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
To get there leave exit 2 of Itaewon Station (Line 6, Stop 630), walk straight for 200 meters and look for the Hannam Building which has a 7-Eleven convenience store on the first floor. The center is on the fifth floor of that building.
