I'm working through some old TOPIK tests and I want to start timing myself.
There are two tests:
1. 어휘 및 문법, 쓰기
2. 듣기, 읽기
Does anyone remember how much time is given for each test? And if I finish the 어휘, can I go on the the 쓰기 or do I have to wait?
The registration deadline for the Oct. 20 test is this Tuesday, August 20. |

You have 90 minutes for both sections. During the second section, you can't really work ahead as the listening is played first. However, the first section can be done however you like. It's entirely up to you if you want to do the essay first, work backwards or whatever.
Register soon. If you're writing in Seoul, spots fill up quickly. |

The grammar/vocabulary and writing tests are a single unit you can do in any order you wish. The listening and reading tests are also a single unit, but the listening is played right away for the first chunk of time, so if you wish to do the reading during that time, you'll have to quickly switch pages between the proper listening page and the reading section (and some people do this, particularly during the first few listening questions, which are relatively easy).
If you were planning on taking the test this time, you really should have registered by now. Hopefully there will still be spots available at your preferred location. |

Yes, I registered the first day; missed the test last year because of missing the registration deadline.
90 minutes for both sections of a test (3 hours total)! I was hoping for 3 hours for each one (6 hours total). Oh well, I guess I wont have to suffer as long this way. |
