I am about to start the apostilled doc process, and have a few questions about what immigration is accepting nowadays:

1. FBI CRC
- Is it still true that we cannot use a channeler for the FBI check? Must be done the 6-8 week method instead?

2. Diplomas
- Does only the masters diploma need to be apostilled? or the undergraduate also?

- Does the diploma need to be certified in the state of the university, or any state OK?

- Some states (CA) don't notarize documents as "original", but only notarize a copy as a "true copy". Is a "true copy" of diploma, notarized and apostilled (from a state different from diploma), OK for immigration?

Thanks

1) channeler is a no-go.
2) the Undergrad (bachelor degree) needs the apostille. The post grad does NOT.
3) certified true copy of the bachelor degree and not the original needs to have the apostille affixed. Doesn't matter what state.

.

I understand that you cannot use a channeler to acquire the FBI CBC, but will they allow you to use a service to expedite the apostille process?

I'm thinking of using https://www.uslegalization.com or http://expressauthentication.com. Aren't these just companies that will walk your documents into the US Dept. of State in D.C., get the apostille and send them back to you immediately?
