Hi friends and fellow travelers!
I am trying to go teach in Korea, but I know that you can't get a work visa if you have a DWI or DUI. I was charged with a Minor consumption, do you know if this will prevent me from obtaining a work visa?

Get your actual background check and find out for sure.
Until then everything else is just speculation.
If it says "no record" then you are good to go.
If your police check comes back with anything other than "no record" you need to pick a different country.

It was always my understanding that any kind of DUI on your record would prevent you from getting a job in Korea. But I would go with the other guys advice, get your CBC done & see what it says then go from there.  |
