Hi,

I had a superglue mishap and the bottle is now stuck to my laminated floor. I'm moving shortly and of course need to remove the glue and bottle.

I looked online and it said nail polish remover with acetone would work. I don't think the bottles here have enough acetone to work. So would anyone know where I could find a glue remover or softener? Or have an alternative to the acetone? Or maybe when I could find more concentrated (I guess) acetone, please?

Where would I go and what would I ask for?

Visit a pharmacy near you, ask for acetone. The stuff they sell at pharmacies is of industrial grade, that coming out of bottles of 'nail polish remover' is not.
Acetone is still acetone in Korean, although it's written 아세톤, and sounds more like AH-SEH-TON.
Still, the effectiveness of the chemical against fully hardened superglue is rather questionable.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot. I'm not totally convinced it will work either, but that seems to be the only suggestion floating around, apart from the actual glue removal stuff.

What you need to understand is that super glue is not glue at all. It's acid. That's why it only works on certain materials. It melts the two surfaces which then fuse together into one.

Why is this important? Because your glue bottle has fused to the floor and when you get it off the floor, it's probably going to leave a mark. I'd make sure to have a butter knife or spatula around to smooth it all out once you remove it, or it will leave an OBVIOUS mark.

Yea I was anticipating some kind of evidence being left behind but hoping it wouldn't be too bad.
