So, I have a question about the health check.

I have a large kidney stone in my left kidney. It will show up in an X-Ray.

My urologist explained that it isn't serious and will have no effect on my health. My blood work and kidney function are fine. He was surprised that Korean immigration would care about it. But, I think its possible they will.

My question is do you think I will end up in trouble in Korea when they do an X-Ray and find it? It would be unfortunate to get sent home over nothing... But, obviously I don't want to waste my time going to Korea if I already know I'll be sent home.

The good news is that the doctor who does the health check should know that the stone isn't an issue. Its too large to pass, and isn't causing any health issues.

In no way would I be lying by saying: "I have not had any serious health issues in the past 5 years."

Does anyone else have any experience with this, or an informed opinion?

Is there anything I can do (like taking a note from the urologist to Korea with me?)

How serious are they with the health check? Do you know anyone who was sent home over a minor health problem? (key word being minor)

Thank you!

I just read a previous post which said the X-Ray is a Chest X-Ray. Do they do an abdominal X-Ray? If they don't, then I don't have to worry Smile

They are worried about TB not kidney stones.

Don't mention it. It won't be a problem.
Chest x-rays will be given for school health check.
