Anyone interested in a bike trip from seoul to busan? Will be using the bike path route ( not highways ). Any 5 days in July. |
Im just curious, did you find anyone? Theres a seoul cycle fb page and I expect a lot of cities have their own expat groups if you didn't. I know quite a few very keen cyclists down here for eg., that cycle a few hundred km each weekend, but they never use this site. |

Yea you'll probably get more interest on FB. Han River Riders is one of the more popular groups. I remember someone posting something about the same route a few weeks ago. |

Not able to but I am curious how you came to the five-day figure? And what will you be doing, camping? Stopping in towns? |

So, where can we read about your "pedalcycle diary" and when can we expect the book and the movie? |

Thankfully, Cyclotouriste did not reply.

It would be a cool thing to do. But, it's best done in early October and not July. Summer here is very hot and humid, often muggy and rainy too. You could die from a heat stroke induced heart attack. (Being out in the sun for hours when it's too hot can be very dangerous.) Early Oct is better. Low to mid 20's in the early afternoon, not humid, rarely rains with clear blue skies. (Humidity usually disappears every year around September 25th or so.) Quite a lovely time to explore the Korean countryside if you do. I often bike on weekends during this time. |

I want to hear about this!
What percentage of the ride could you do purely on cycle paths by following the rivers etc? (No roads)
Could you see the massive investment the previous government put into the 5 rivers project?
How long did it actually take you? How many kms is it when following cycle paths? Did you camp or stay in towns?
Did you meet anyone interesting on the way? Was it busy? |

Got a bike today. Will be spending the rest of the time before the freeze sets in looking around Seoul and the outskirts, and then aim to head to Pusan when the weather gets warmer next year. |

I'll cycle with you.
I be middle aged, but not wearing it well. Chronic IBS, regularly shit myself, a shortarse, 62kgs, a bit of an eyesore but my mum says I'm alright, lank greasy hair, twitch below my right eye, uni grad, teacher. Can't work too far from my apartment, a pain in the arse and the kind of guy nobody likes, whinger, pretty good in a fight. Have a foldable bike I bought on the cheap.
If you're willing to pay for everything get in touch. |
