I may need to buy a new computer soon and was hoping to use my Discover Card to get the points. Has anyone used a Discover Card here in Korea before and if so, where? |

I have never seen it accepted anywhere in Korea.
Unless you are buying your computer at a place like home-plus they won't take cards anyway - pay cash or pay a premium of 3-5%.

Actually Discover recently entered into an agreement with BC card and so your card should work anywhere where BC card is accepted (which is pretty much everywhere). You should be able to use it no problem, especially if it is in a major brand store (lotte, himart, etc) |

Discover is accepted in many places, but have another card as a back up, just in case. |

If you're looking for discounts and points and whatnot, better off getting a domestic Korean card. |

^ this.
get something like a hyundai m card (non-platinum version) which is relatively easy to get and order a computer on gmarket/affiliated online retailer and you can get a hefty discount, monthly payment plan to ease the burden a bit and mileage on the card/cash back. |
