http://www.xe.com/currencyconverter/convert/?Amount=2000000&From=KRW&To=CAD

2 Million Won is $1888.00 as of 3:30 fri afternoon. Highest it's been in years. Went up to 1800 bucks six months back and kept hovering going no further. Was 1700 bucks for years. Get back up over 2000 bucks, you crazy won you! Let's keep those fingers crossed and make Korea worth it again.....

Send money home tonight and hope those Korean banks don't gauge you too much on rates. What a beautiful payday!

I had student loans. I managed to pay them all off when 1600 Korean won was equal to a Canadian dollar, so you get no pity from me.

All 50 K and credit card debt too? Nowadays, Korea only seems to work for those with either no debt or joke debt (like 15 Kish). But, I slowly perservere. Someday, I will be free.

So you are set in Korea forever, or money has lost all meaning for you? I'm just guessing, otherwise I don't understand why you wouldn't care about getting more value for your dollar.

I think in EUR, and have a Korean salary set in EUR. I don't really care much how high/low the KRW is.
You'd think a lower KRW would benefit me then, but unless it goes lower exactly when I need KRW and back up later, it's useless.

You poor poor people. 10 years ago it was consistently $2300-$2400.

Now it's $1898 while the cost of living has gone up considerably since then.

Glad I got out when I did. Got paroled. Left the heart of darkness

Then what the hell are you doing hanging around here for?

You miss some of the dirty action and still consider a return.

Oh the action be dirty, you aint wrong about that. But I'll leave it to you to get at it though. Get in deep and love it. Need it. I'm too old for the K scene now.

And besides that, what the F is going on here? Jobs are still at 2 million 10 years later??? I wouldn't go back for 3 million, I wouldn't go back for 4.

Well maybe I would for 4, I ain't gonna lie to you.

Nice to see you can afford to have principles.

Yeah, the action is still here and there , just not like it used to be...we have to look harder for it.
