If it's in Yeongtong, I can tell you that they offered me my first job in the summer of 2008. I signed the contract and sent it to Korea, not long after which they decided not to hire me. I don't know what happened, but I got another job elsewhere, at a school that was just down the street, and never looked back.

I did work with a teacher who taught there and some students who used to study there. It seemed like an average school. You could do worse, but you could also do better.

Thanks for the help! What is the name of the school you ended up working for if you don't mind me asking? Also do you know if they are hiring right now? lol Smile

Anyone offered a contract by this school, do yourself a favor and DO NOT TAKE A POSITION HERE. I stayed for four months in 2012, and I kept in touch with the teaching staff while there. During my stay, one other teacher left, one was fired, and the others really wanted to quit. After I left, three of the replacement teachers left before their one year mark. I almost had to blackmail my way to a release letter.

The school is cutting way back on funding, making all of the teachers work as much overtime as they can squeeze out of you, has some very sketchy practices, NO sense of organization, no curriculum, and a very negative atmosphere. You will have to fight tooth and nail for anything. I have never had another job I dreaded going to like I dreaded going to this one. The kids were great, I and I liked some of my coworkers. Everything else was utter crap, and I heard it just kept going downhill. Also, you don't get medical insurance or pension. The contract lies...surprise.

Also, we all called it "EIE-HELL" if that gives you any more of a hint on how much we liked it. Wink
