The recruiter or recruiting company?

The fees charged by recruiting companies vary depending on the school requirements, terms of replacement, difficulty of placement and number of teachers being recruited. typically 750k - 1.5m krw.

Recruiters as employees on the other hand earn much less.

Some schools in the past did a bonus for teachers that found someone else for the school. Yet it was not as much as a normal recruiters fee. It varied from 100,000 to 500,000. Yet some schools will expect for free!

Not just in the past. Avalon still does it. In the past it was 600,000 for the waeg. Now it is 400,000. (And maybe this varies branch to branch.) For the recruiters themselves it is generally more than a million won. I've heard as low as 700,000 to 1,500,000 and over. What that means for you is DON'T TRUST A RECRUITER! They can lie and manipulate you and they are very good at it through experience doing it again and again over time. The recruiters I met make GOOD money. They are living high on the hog. So many of them (most) are such scum. Very slimy.

(I asked a recruiter how many placements he makes per month. He said ten. Think about that. Do the math. He is making BANK.)
