What kind of equipment are you provided with at work? If you are furnished with a computer at work, what kind of software is installed (Windows 95, 98, NT, 2000, XP, Linux, OS2, MS Word, Haancom Hangul, WordPerfect, etc.)?

It seems that many foreign teachers (or college instructors) receive nothing or old equipment (technology).

P4 1.7GHz
512 MB RAM
Windows XP Pro
MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
Hangul 2002

More than adequate for the word processing and marks calculating I use my work computer for.

Originally had Windows 98 SE installed, but it kept crashing on me (daily). I asked someone from the tech department to install XP....next day, presto! No probs since. My monitor went blank on me a couple of weeks ago, while I was making up final tests. Again, talked to someone in the tech department, and presto, next day, replacement monitor.

Our department also got a new photocopier several months ago. It's a dream. Very Happy

Overall, very satisfied.
