Hello, I am wondering if we have to have our TEFL certification completed by the time we apply for EPIK, or can we apply without it on the promise that we will obtain it before going to Korea? I ask because it seems they are now only considering those at level 2, and I will not be able to take a course until March 2014 as I wont be finished with my degree program until then, therefore I will only be level 3 when I apply.

I also won't have my bachelor's degree by the time I apply either, is that not ok to apply or can I send my graduation letter? (the forums seem mixed on this) I should be able to have the official diplomas from both my university and TEFL course provider by June, but I want to apply as soon as applications are accepted (I'm guessing February), so basically I want to know if I can apply without them.

I'm pretty sure I can apply without my official university diploma in hand as long as I can get it to them a month before departing, so I'm mainly wondering about TEFL certification to make level 2 qualification.

I suppose I can apply at the next intake time but I am too excited to wait, I would rather go right after graduation.

Side note: I would like to get my CELTA certification through Teaching House since they are the only ones I could find in the LA area, but they are about $1000 over my budget Sad So most likely I will be getting my TEFL through i-to-i since they are the only in-class place I could find in SoCal. If anyone has any information on i-to-i (I've found mixed reviews), it would be greatly appreciated. Also if anyone know of any TEFL courses in SoCal that offer an in-class component 20+ hours, that would be great!

They may let the TEFL go for the application but it will need to be complete before the NOA is issued.

You can't get a visa without your parchment in hand (with seal and apostille affixed). See you next July.
