When I go to the hospital they just ask to see my ARC but never
my health card.

Do they only need to see the ARC?

It has crossed my mind that I may not have had my insurance discount
because of not showing the health card.

I havent been issued a new NHIC card for over a couple years years now (public school). My K-colleagues say an ID card is sufficient. It seems that thats automatically cross-referenced now.
