Hi folks,
Could anyone tell me what the soonest date I can get a new E2 visa? The date on my old one is from 12th March 2013. I heard I would have to wait until March 2014 before I could reapply, but I was wondering if I can apply sooner if I'm not working under the old visa?
I had to leave my old hagwon job as it was just a bad school. I was the 16th teacher (foreign and Korean) who left within one year. I was tied up with the visa because my boss wouldn't sign my release, so I had to leave the country.
I love Korea and want to get back as soon as I can - hence the question of how soon I can get a new visa.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You can get a new visa as soon as your old ARC expires (typically 13 months from the date of entry into Korea on your E2).
If you did NOT get an ARC then you need to wait till the actual expiry date printed on the visa (one year from date of issue for Americans, 90 days for everyone else).
