Hey guys thanks for looking.
I'm worried Like everyone. I got a job offer(nov1) and sent my forms to my recruiter and he just now saw that i'm a Canadian citizen(I mentioned that, long ago.) My passport is Canadian but all my degrees are from the states. I left Canada when i was 11. I'm now 28 and I've spent most of my life in the states. The background checks are from the FBI and my degrees and paperwork is Apostilled by the US. I hear its takes for ever to get my Background check for the RCMP. My recruiter told me to write a letter explaining why i have a Canadian passport with american papers.
Anyone have any advice?
i noticed the Korean Consulate has a section for American residences.
I'll be okay right? I mean i was 11.... Hardened criminal at 11.
thanks again for any info. |

Your American degrees should be no problem, but you will probably need a Canadian CBC - send the FBI CBC as well since you have it. Best to get the Canadian one started right away - today if possible. You'll have to research a way to do one quickly so you can get it within 3 weeks or so. |

I have an Irish passport, but live in the UK, and my degrees and CRC's were from there, at the very last minute I was informed I needed an Irish CRC which would have been totally impossible for me to get, although luckily I was able to get a Britsh passport.
I spoke to a lot of people and the information I repeatedly got back was that your CRC must be from the same country as your passport, but your degree doesn't need to be. |
