|
|
I've been given a job that's starting in Oct but it's only part-time. Shouldn't have a problem getting the CRC and apostille (UK) by then. I also want to find an afternoon part-time job.
Say I got a PM job a few weeks later, do I still need to get a brand new CRC of can I just ask the MOE for a copy of the one recently submitted?
Thanks. |

F or E visa?
E-visa then the copy will be from immigration.
F-visa then you are already registered at the MOE so another copy isn't needed.

F-6 visa.
I mentioned to the guy today (employer) that I could possibly ask Gyeonggi MOE for a copy of my old one (18 months old) but he said I'd need a new one. I'll be sending this new one to the Seoul MOE.
As the MOE and immigration have my degree with an apostille in their record banks, does that mean I can just go and ask for a copy? Again, he said I'd need a new apostille.
I don't see why I'd need my degree done again it's not like I can get a black mark against it like a criminal check.
Thanks for the reply Ttompatz. |

Providing you have not left Korea for more than 90 days (in any one period) you do NOT need a new one.
Copies of the ones on file are adequate (provided they are made by the government agency).

Does the fact that the CRC on file is about 2 years old matter? I haven't left Korea for more than 3 days or been anywhere near my home country since then.
No way my new CRC will arrive before a few weeks after the job starts. |

I'm very keen to find out the definitive answer on this too. Do we have to go through the hassle of obtaining a new CRC every time we change a job or not?
In my case, I had to submit a new CRC when I changed jobs at the end of 2011. I've been out of Korea a total of six weeks since then (hardly enough time to have been going on a criminal rampage), and now I'm looking to apply for a new position. Of course, the prospective employers want a CRC, but is it really necessary....? |

Unless you have changed jurisdiction you are already registered and new docs/copies of docs aren't even needed.
Who have you been talking to? They appear to be sadly uninformed
(unless you are taking a new government job in which case they will want new ones anyway as an employer (not Kimmi/MOE) requirement).

I will be changing from Gyeonggi to Seoul jurisdictions.
I read before that getting copies from immi & Gyeonggi POE is fine as I haven't left the country/been back to mine.
However, the recruiter guy who got me the job (in a Church hagwon so may not even be registered) said I need to get brand new CRCs for each job I apply for seems retarded as I like to get temp/part time jobs every few months.
If the school refuse it then I guess I'm SOL and will have to wait for the CRC from the UK to arrive, whenever that may be (3-4 weeks). |
